We Are Not Alone

The Dunn Family could not do all that they do for all the children they love and s support in their home, without the help from their community.

Through much consideration and prayer, the Dunn Family opened their hearts and home to kids coming into care. Like all families who foster, none of us could do it alone.

In 2018 our youngest daughter married and our only son graduate. As empty nesters our 6 bed room house was empty. The walls where closing in around us. My son Edward was heading to the Army and said Mom.... Dad... go do what y’all have been doing off and on for years... foster. We prayed about it. We studied the word. We sought the guidance of not only our biological family but also our church family at Gospel Light Christian Fellowship Church.

We are not alone in our love for each and every child that comes into our home. Since 2018 we have been blessed to have over 50 children our home and have adopted our son Dawson in July of this year. We are in our 50s and are loving this stage of life where we can truly enjoy our kiddos.

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him - Psalm 127:3
