Study at The Well
This room will provide youth and young adults served through Flourish with access to computers, internet, printing and practical support as they work toward school, employment and greater independence. Volunteers and mentors will be able to sit beside them as they complete résumés, apply for jobs, set up email accounts, search for resources, study, read and learn skills that can help move them forward.
It isn't intended to be a fancy computer lab. We want it to feel like a comfortable study — peaceful, dignified and welcoming.
The Dream
We would love for our community to help us build it.
We've created an Amazon Wish List with items needed to furnish the room. Some gifts are large, like a desk chair or bookshelf. Others may be as simple as headphones, printer paper or a storage basket.
Every item helps create a place where a young person can walk in needing help and leave having taken one more step forward.

A comfortable chair and a book when they just need somewhere safe and peaceful to sit for a while.

What could happen in The Study?
A teenager completes a college application. A young adult creates their first résumé. Someone applies for three jobs before leaving. A student gets homework finished somewhere quiet. A youth without reliable internet finally has access to the tools most of us take for granted.
That makes the need incredibly tangible without inventing a particular child's story.
