At The Well, we are creating a peaceful, comfortable space where young people and families can feel safe, supported, and valued.
We call this space The Nest because a nest is more than a place of shelter. It is where young lives are nurtured, strengthened, and prepared for what comes next. It offers comfort while they grow—and support as they learn to fly.
Our Dream
The Nest may be used for mentoring, family visitation, quiet conversations, goal setting, life-skills support, or simply spending time with a trusted adult who is willing to listen. It will provide a warm, welcoming environment that feels personal and peaceful rather than cold or institutional.
Our vision
For youth who have experienced foster care, trauma, instability, or difficult transitions, consistent relationships and safe spaces matter. A comfortable couch, warm lighting, books, and a quiet place to talk can communicate an important message:
You are safe here. You are capable. Your future matters.
Our Hope
Our hope is that The Nest will be a place where young people find comfort, build confidence, discover their strengths, and receive the encouragement they need to move forward. We cannot protect them from every challenge, but we can surround them with caring people and practical support as they prepare to spread their wings.
We have created an Amazon Wish List to help furnish The Nest with comfortable seating, lamps, tables, curtains, books, storage, and simple décor. Every purchase will help create a nurturing space where youth and families can connect, grow, and find hope.
